EOTECH continues to push clever optic solutions, and their new EOTECH Vudu 4-12×36 FFP paired with the optional “diving board” offset mount is one of the more interesting setups to come along for 2026.

The scope itself is part of EOTECH’s compact Vudu line — 7 inches long, 16.9 ounces, and built around a first focal plane 4-12×36 configuration with an illuminated reticle offering 10 brightness settings. It runs on a CR2032 and is manufactured in Japan, which is always a good sign in the optics world. Street price lands around $1,200.

The real twist is the clamp-on diving board mount, which allows a miniature reflex sight to sit neatly above the scope. In this case, a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro-pattern optic provides a 3 MOA dot, eight daylight settings, a night-vision mode and an impressive 25,000-hour battery life, all while weighing just 1.4 ounces. The mount itself adds minimal bulk and keeps the whole system tidy.

This kind of stacked optic arrangement is usually seen on AR-pattern rifles, but it makes just as much sense on lightweight bolt guns. In the video, the combo rides atop a compact takedown bolt-action, creating a versatile setup: dial up magnification for precision work or transition instantly to the red dot for close targets.

It’s a thoughtful blend of speed and precision in a very compact footprint — and a good example of how modern optics can expand the capability of even traditional platforms.
