We all love to shoot, but there are times when we really need to take the human part out of the equation. Whether the mission is to punch really tight holes at long distances or simply assess what the theoretical accuracy capability might be for a given firearm, having a proper shooting rest can be critical. The Lead Sled DFT 2 (Dual Frame Technology) is a rock-solid shooting foundation as effective as it is easy to use.

The Dual Frame design allows space for large-capacity magazines on rifles like AR’s and AK’s to ride comfortably in the rig without adversely affecting stability. Precise thumbwheel corrections allow the shooter to dial in their shots, and the integral weight tray accommodates up to 100 pounds of lead shot for maximum stability. I’m cheap so I use old tire weights. The cradle’s padded components will not mar your gun’s finish, and the front support slides through 18 inches to accommodate guns of various sizes. The Lead Sled weighs 24 pounds empty and is 30 inches long.

Lightweight enough for easy portage yet rock solid when bagged in place, the Lead Sled DFT 2 sits atop any rigid surface for a precise and repeatable shooting platform. The Lead Sled is at home on your favorite shooting bench. Once your rifle is snugged in place you simply turn the adjustment wheels to change the lay of the gun. Not unlike adjusting an artillery piece, the Lead Sled DFT 2 allows precise fine-tuning without regard to breathing or technique. The Lead Sled DFT 2 wrings every bit of available accuracy out of your favorite firearms. I don’t know how I got along so long without one.
