We talk a lot about shooting guns, but not much about the industry behind them. In 2019, one of America’s oldest gun manufacturers, Savage Arms, was spun off from Vista Outdoor (owner of Federal, Bushnell, Blackhawk! and others) and purchased by a private group organized by CEO and President, Al Kasper.

Now also part-owner of Savage, Host Brent T. Wheat spoke with Al from the 2020 SHOT Show about making the huge deal, including being blackballed by banks, its implications on the future of the brand and his take on the current state of the firearm industry.
