GUNS Magazine ends 2023 with a blast (pun intended) by featuring the Ed Brown Fueled MP-Metal-F1 pistol as our Gun of the Month for December! Based on the Smith & Wesson Metal Framed M&P 2.0, the heart of the Fueled Series M&P pistols is Ed Brown’s Accuracy Rail. The pistol is first broken down to its foundation and receives a complete overhaul. The Accuracy Rail is hand fitted to the frame and the slide to ensure perfectly mated surfaces for an exceptional fit to improve barrel lockup and accuracy. Next is a fully machined custom slide with custom cuts for a striking appearance, with material in all the right areas for hard use and to maintain functionality. Adding a 416 stainless, button rifled match barrel customized with Ed Brown tread flutes, that includes ½ x 28 threads and a custom thread protector, allows the pistol to be fully suppressor ready. A re-designed and re-engineered custom extractor mates perfectly to the custom slide, ensuring reliability. Custom sights, trigger, 360-degree magwell paired with machined base pads, machined frame pins and aluminum backplate with custom serrations finish off this pistol. Like all other Ed Brown custom handguns, the Fueled Series is fitted by hand, one at a time with the same focus and care as they’ve been doing for more than 50 years. The pistol’s slide, barrel, trigger and frame pins have a Black Nitride finish; the frame is finished in Tungsten Gray Cerakote.
