The 100-Yard Challenge
Roy’s Insider Tips #191
November 2012
Is it possible to hit a target at 100 yards with a 1911? American Handgunner Editor Roy Huntington takes on this imposing challenge with a twist: using only five shots. Did he make a 100-yard hit?

Roy,
We shoot at bowling pins hanging from a wire at 100yds at our Williamson County Gun Club, IL with all types of firearms. Shooting and hitting them while firing unsupported with a handgun is particularly satisfying. You did very well with your shooting!
That was a nice video. I use to shoot golf balls at a 100 yards with a 22 rifle.
